General information

Bank cards and credit cards are widely accepted, but small purchases under 5€ are not OK to buy with a card. Most taxis do not take credit cards. 

Portugal uses European sockets.

Tipping

Tipping is not compulsory, however, a 10-15% tip in restaurants is appreciated.

Taxi drivers do not expect tips, so just round up the figure just above the actual fare.
