Prof. Chuyu Wei 

Dr. Wei is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Hong Kong (Sept. 2025).  His research interests include developing advanced optical sensing and imaging tools to study alternative and sustainable fuels for use in current and next-generation energy and propulsion systems. Prof. Wei received his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from UCLA in 2020 (Spearrin Research Group); and his B.S. in Energy Engineering from Zhejiang University in 2015. Prior to joining HKU, he was a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Stanford University (Hanson Research Group).
