Boulder Dash Full Moon Guided Hike
Meet : Roundhouse Trail
When: Dec. 4th, 2025. Meet 5 PM
Where: Roundhouse Trailhead
Lets enjoy the fresh air of the evening as we watch the moon rise over El Paso. We will be walking on flat terrain, rocky terrain and this is a family friendly hike to and explore the Bowen Ranch along the way.
This is an opportunity to learn how to hike in the dark and get familiar with your surroundings. Expect more breaks then usual and some stargazing too. We will be regrouping at various spots and allow breaks and exploration.
Please have at least 2 liters of water and any snacks that you may have. This hike will be on rocky terrain and is a beginner hike.
Shoes with strong grip are essential and there is no shade on this trail.
Please bring the 10 essentials, and supplies that you need and hiking sticks if you like them.
Bring a Flashlight or headlamp, and prepare by looking at the weather.
Fee: $5 state park pass , payable onsite or make reservation in advance online. $0 for state pass holders. Children 12 and under FREE

Peace Pipe Arroyo Guided Hike
Date: December 6, 2025
Meet : McKelligon Canyon Amphitheatre Parking lot
Distance: 3 miles
Elevation Gain: 1,500 ft
Average Time: 3 hrs
Hike Scale: Strenuous
Attendance Limit: 8 Hikers
Recommendations:
SAFETY FIRST! You will not be allowed to hike ahead or get behind the “sweep”. No one gets left behind!
Sun Protection: hat, sunscreen, sunglasses

Tissues, wipes, etc.
You will be as cold or warm as you decide to dress
Description: The adventure begins at the unofficial trailhead tucked behind the McKelligon Canyon Amphitheater. Right from the start, we’re surrounded by dramatic rock formations, towering boulders, and natural climbing walls that make for a thrilling ascent.
As we make our way up the mountainside, the path becomes wild and untamed, with a bit of bushwhacking through thick brush that adds to the sense of exploration. Reaching the ridgeline, we’re rewarded with sweeping panoramic views of McKelligon Canyon to our right and the Coronado Golf Course out to the left.
From there, we follow the scenic ridgeline before descending a rugged, rocky face toward the famous Heart Rock area. We then follow the trail down to the picnic area at McKelligon Canyon. The hike wraps up with a peaceful quarter mile walk along the canyon road, bringing us full circle back to where the adventure began.

Meet : Chuck Heinrich Park
Distance: 3 to 5 miles
Average Time: 2.5 hours
Hike Scale: Beginner to moderate depending on your ability.
Recommendations:
SAFETY FIRST! You will be expected to have water and the essentials that are needed for this trip.
Water is a basic necessity and must be present or we will ask that you join us when you are more prepared.

Description: The adventure begins at the Chuck Heinrich Park Arch.
This will be a contrail hike through the pipeline in-between the state park and the city.
Holiday Urban Hike with WE HIKE & Friends

Trail Clean-up Hike and Bike
Aug 10, 2024 - North Hills El Paso, TXTrail Clean-up Hike and Bike
The Borderland Mountain Bike Association teamed up with WeHike Adventure to clear our North Hills trails of a number of blue spray painted arrows.
A special thanks to all participants and volunteers for their commitment, taking on this sprawled out challenge in quickly rising temperatures.
Please remind your friends to practice leaving no trace and respect our trails and natural open spaces. It is never okay to paint rocks. Remember the use of our trails is a privilege, and not a right.
