HIKE DETAILS
Trail Length: 4 Miles
Elevation Gain: 1,100 Ft.
Average Duration: 3 Hrs.
Difficulty: Moderate - Rocky sections and some steep terrain. Requires average fitness.
Beat the heat and join me for an exciting evening hike!
Let’s hike the Thousand Steps trail in Franklin Mountains State Park. This challenging hike will test your stamina but will reward you with amazing 360 evening view of the El Paso/Juarez region from Ranker Peak. We will summit right under and the historic Wyler Aerial Tramway. The hike is steep and rocky so come prepared with plenty of water, sturdy footwear, a flashlight/headlight and a sense of adventure.
Due to the limited number of participants, no guests will be allowed.
SAFETY FIRST! You will not be allowed to hike ahead of the ranger or get behind the “sweep”. No one gets left behind!
