Lesson Two:

Recreate a Pattern Found in Nature | TinkercadHow can you create visually appealing designs inspired by patterns that occur in nature? During this one-hour lesson, students will learn how to analyze linear, gridded, and radial patterns, break them down into smaller parts, and use Tinkercad Codeblocks and some basic math concepts to design a leaf, a honeycomb, or a kiwi pattern. More time can be taken to work on original designs. With some minor modifications, this can be made accessible for younger students as well. Encourage students to share their work using the hashtag #TinkercadCodeblocks.

For your project, you’ll use the Tinkercad Codeblocks editor to design one of the following patterns from nature. Design all three if you have time!

A linear leaf pattern
A gridded honeycomb pattern
A radial kiwi pattern
