When it comes to wedding photography, nothing can take the place of a good strategy. Your wedding day is guaranteed to be chaotic; it’s a very important day and there will be a lot going on. Think ahead about the pictures you will want you photographer to take and schedule a time a week or two (or more!) ahead of the wedding to share your thoughts with your photographer.
If you’re just getting started with your wedding plans, I’ve put together a terrific Quick Reference Wedding Planner that allows you to keep everything together in one place. This easy-to-use planner includes a section for you to build your guest list, spaces for you to jot down notes and ideas, and a place for you to fill in important wedding-related phone numbers.
Best of all, I’ve included a Wedding Photographer Checklist that you can fill in and make available to your wedding photographer to ensure every shot you want is included in his photography plan. I just can’t stress enough how absolutely critical it is to have a complete plan covering your entire wedding day, starting from the time you wake up to the time you leave the reception.
Believe me when I tell you it will be very easy to become distracted. But with a plan in place, you can keep the day moving smoothly and there are no missed cues or regrets later.
