ICUNSSI Planning-Workshop

The planning starts with the introduction of Dr. Amayun, the guest, and his staff. This is followed by presentations from each working committee about their plans for their respective assignments. An open discussion is also held after each presentation.

Kicks Off of Wellness Program for Elderly

703 enthusiastic senior citizens joined and received a complimentary pre-medical check-up provided by the MSU-IIT Medical Team and the City Health Office

Two resource speakers were invited to talk about the physical and emotional wellness of retirees– Dr. Jill Irene C. Sun from Mercy Community Hospital and Adventist Medical Center of Iligan City and Prof. Minnie Mamauag from MSU-IIT’s CHS. They shared effective approaches for handling the psychological aspects of retirement, methods to alleviate stress, and ways to cultivate a positive mindset.

Public school district supervisors and education program supervisors of Iligan City Schools Division, alongside the esteemed MSU IIT WE CARE Director, Dr. Rosario L. Reserva, and Dr. Mark Nolan Confesor of the Physics Department, come together once again for the thrilling Teaching Innovation and Strategy Training (TIST) Program for DepEd Iligan!

From the Local School Board (LSB) of Iligan City, a whopping Six Hundred Thousand Pesos (Php 600,000.00) has been allocated for cutting-edge additive tech equipment and Sixty (60) sets of computers

Women's Wellness Check: Breast and Reproductive Health Awareness and Screening

The women in the University, including the students, joined the event which aimed to provide the necessary health services and promote awareness regarding breast and reproductive health.

Dr. Gemma Serrano gave a lecture in the morning about reproductive health. A free breast check-up was held in afternoon at the ER of the Nursing Laboratory. Participants of the event also signed up for a free pap smear exam to be done at the partner clinics– Dr. Gemma M. Serrano Clinic and Dr. Mercel S. Paculba Clinic

Monitoring and Evaluation for Sustainability Project Workshop

The insightful lectures delivered by the esteemed resource persons, combined with engaging activities, have equipped our participants with valuable knowledge to apply in their future endeavors. This 2-day workshop was a hub of productivity, providing a platform for participants to ask questions, share insights, and foster collaboration among colleagues.

The said medical mission is part of the Barangay Caravan Initiatives of LGU-Iligan. As part of the program, CHS faculty members, Asst. Prof. Lorie Ann S. Balili gave a lecture about Pertussis or Whooping Cough, while Asst. Prof. Lynuel R. Santillana gave lectures about Women's Health Concerns

Medical Mission Under Barangay Caravan Initiative of LGU-Iligan

Community and Alumni Day/Medical Mission

Date/Venue: July 11, 2024/ Iligan City Plaza

Partner: MSU-Gensan

The participants of this activity were selected representatives from the 44 barangays of Iligan City. They had the opportunity to participate in a Zumba dance session in the morning and avail of free medical and optical services. Tokens were also given out during the event. This is part of the celebration of MSU-IIT's 56th charter day with the theme "A University with a Heart for the Community".
