Students can do hard things even when those things come with uncomfortable feelings.
As a counselor, my goal is to support all students in building the skills and confidence to handle discomfort that comes with anxiety. Rather than avoiding difficult feelings, we work on understanding them, managing them, and moving forward despite them.
Anxiety is a normal human emotion. With the right tools, encouragement, and practice, students can learn to tolerate uncertainty, cope with challenges, and recognize their own strength and resilience.
My role is to provide a safe space, teach practical coping strategies, and partner with families and staff to help students grow through challenges — not around them.
