Ronald Bachmann
I am a labour economist at the RWI - Leibniz Institute for Economic Research in Essen, Germany, and head of the research unit "Labour Markets, Education, Population" at RWI. I am also professor of labour economics at the Düsseldorf Institute for Competition Economics (DICE) at Heinrich-Heine-Universität Düsseldorf, and Research Follow at the Institute of Labor Economics (IZA). You can find a detailed CV here.
The goal of my research is to contribute to a better understanding of the labour-market effects of the digital transition and of the green transition. I therefore empirically investigate the following research questions: How do these transitions affect labour-market trajectories and wages? How do individuals adapt to these transitions, e.g. through mobility decisions or education and training? Which role can labour-market policies play, in this context and more broadly?
