Welcome to WebPurify. These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legal agreement between you and Purify Security (a formally registered technology business) regarding your use of the WebPurify mobile application and its related services.
By installing, accessing, or using WebPurify, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the application.
1. Description of Service and "As-Is" Basis
WebPurify is a digital wellness utility designed to assist users in self-control and online safety. The service includes:
DNS Filtering: Redirection of DNS queries to block adult content, gambling, and malicious domains.
Self-Control Tools: Features such as timers and the "Anti-Delete Shield."
Service Limitation: You acknowledge that the internet is constantly evolving. Purify Security does not guarantee that 100% of all harmful content will be blocked at all times. The service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE."
AI Visual Protection: Real-time on-device analysis to block explicit visual content and addiction triggers within third-party applications.
1.1. Informational and Wellness Purposes Only
Medical and Psychological Disclaimer: The content provided within the "Learn" tab and the tools available in the "S.O.S" feature are for educational, self-management, and informational purposes only. WebPurify is a digital wellness utility and does not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, or professional psychological therapy. If you are experiencing severe addiction, distress, or a mental health crisis, please seek immediate help from a qualified healthcare professional.
Loss of Progress Data: Because WebPurify operates on a "Zero Data Collection" strict local-storage model to protect your privacy, any progress data (such as your Journey streaks) is tied directly to your device installation. Uninstalling the application or clearing its data will result in the permanent loss of this progress. Purify Security is not responsible for the recovery of lost streak data.
2. The "Anti-Delete Shield" and Device Restrictions
WebPurify offers features designed to make the uninstallation of the app more difficult to help users maintain their self-control goals (utilizing Accessibility and Device Administrator APIs).
Important Legal Disclaimer: You explicitly understand and agree that:
No "Absolute" Block: Due to Android Operating System limitations and Google Play Store policies, no application can be 100% unremovable. WebPurify acts as a deterrent and a layer of resistance, but it is not an absolute prevention of uninstallation.
User Responsibility: The effectiveness of the protection depends on the correct configuration of the device and the user's commitment to the settings.
System Updates: Future Android OS updates may change how these protections function.
2.1 AI Visual Protection
AI Accuracy Disclaimer: You acknowledge that AI-based detection is based on mathematical probability. While highly advanced, the system may occasionally have "false positives" (blocking non-explicit content) or "false negatives" (failing to block a specific image). The service is designed as a support tool for self-control, not a perfect or infallible filter.
3. Eligibility and User Conduct
Age: You must be at least 13 years old to use this service.
Lawful Use: You agree not to use the app for any fraudulent or illegal activities.
No Reverse Engineering: You are prohibited from attempting to extract the source code, bypass the filtering protocols, or modify the application in any way.
Proprietary Rights and Restrictions:
You agree not to: (a) reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the WebPurify application; (b) attempt to bypass the filtering protocols or security layers; (c) modify the software or create derivative works based on the application's unique blocking logic. WebPurify is the intellectual property of Purify Security.
4. Intellectual Property
WebPurify, including its logo, interface design, filtering logic, and proprietary brand elements, is the exclusive property of Purify Security. Your use of the app grants you a limited, non-transferable license—not ownership.
5. Subscriptions and Financial Terms
Billing: All premium features and subscriptions are managed through the Google Play Store Billing System.
Refunds: Refund requests must be handled directly through Google Play support. Purify Security does not store your payment information.
Cancellations: You may cancel your subscription at any time via your Google Play account settings. Access to premium features will continue until the end of the current billing cycle.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Purify Security and its developers shall not be liable for:
Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
Loss of data or device malfunction.
Situations where the user manages to circumvent, disable, or uninstall the protection.
The content of third-party websites that are either blocked or allowed by the DNS filtering.
Purify Security is not liable for any psychological distress or device performance issues arising from the AI's decision to block or allow specific visual content.
7. Termination of Service
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to WebPurify at our sole discretion, without prior notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or engaged in conduct harmful to the service or other users.
8. Changes to Terms
Purify Security reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes by updating the "Last Modified" date at the top of this document. Your continued use of the app after such changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
