The "Four I's"

WEBIT/WMEA Annual convention will convene in Stevens Point, Wisconsin to explore ideas, challenges, and opportunities facing Business, Information Technology (IT), and Marketing educators. It is a time to discuss our responsibility of educating the next generation of thinkers, creators and doers who will help shape the world around us. This year's convention will provide an opportunity to look at ways Business, IT, and Marketing must continue to evolve and meet the needs of today's students.

Informative

• What types of best practices will foster understanding and learning in a classroom?
• What interactive, inquisitive and evaluative methods are being created in Business, IT and Marketing courses?
• What "hot topics" are being incorporated into various courses and projects?
• What ways are higher level thinking being used within student learning?

Innovative

• How will new ways of learning affect how students learn and show growth within our classrooms?
• How will we partner to be innovative and creative with limited budgets and reduced funding?
• What will our classrooms look like in the rest of the 21st century?
• How must educators adapt courses, lesson plans, and state initiatives to meet the needs of current and future generations of students?

Inquisitive

• What collaborations are necessary to ensure that current standards informs classroom practice?
• How can partnerships assist in recording learning and demonstrating the effectiveness of collaborative learning?
• What resources are needed to support student learning and success in the classroom and in life?
• What opportunities are available for students to discover careers and pathways to be successful adults?

Integrative

• How can Business, IT, and Marketing educators collaborate to generate new teaching methods and ideas?
• How can new technologies assist with current standards, curriculum, and learning?
• How can WEBIT and WMEA support and collaborate to make a stronger CTE area of discipline?
• How can we foster relationships, empathy, and understandings of different cultures, people and ideas?
