Nanomaterials for Health Sensing
Our group is based in the Department of LIFE Sciences at Chalmers University of Technology, where we are working at the interface of nanotechnology and device engineering to innovate solutions in personalized health monitoring.
We aim to gain a fundamental understanding of material-biomolecule interactions to guide the development of more sensitive and selective sensors. This gives us the ability to develop low-cost and portable or wearable sensors for real-life non-invasive health monitoring.
Chemo-resistive and electrochemical sensors
Our chemo-resistive and electrochemical sensors are based on carbon and inorganic nanomaterials.
Carbon Materials
We design and synthesize high-surface area carbon materials for enhanced electrochemical detection of biomarkers.
Inorganic Materials
We design and synthesize inorganic nanoparticles with high catalytic activity for chemo-resistive gas sensors.
Stretchable Sensors
We fabricate soft sensor electrodes for skin-conformable sensing.
Device Integration
We develop portable devices for ease-of-use in breath analysis.
