Research Academy of Science & Astronomy - RASA, a non-profit and non-political organization, is led by talented students. RASA conducts the Little Scientists Search Campaign to identify these talented individuals. Students from all over Bangladesh can participate in this campaign and talented individuals can become RASA students. The 3-day campaign begins with a Science Adda session where participants engage in discussions with mentors to learn practical science and about RASA. Following this, interested students undergo a selection phase on the second day. It's important to note here that by participating in this campaign, you cannot become a student of RASA. You have to participate in the assessment test round as well. Finally, outstanding performers are recognized with awards on the third day of the campaign.
The Little Scientists Search Campaign categorizes the selection phase into three groups: Primary (6th to 8th grade), Junior (9th and 10th grade), and Senior (11th and 12th grade). Each category has specific registration and assessment requirements tailored to the student's educational level. Registration involves essay writing and, depending on the category, may also include oral or written tests. Students are expected to demonstrate proficiency in science basics, problem-solving skills, and English language proficiency. Adherence to rules, including timely registration, accurate information provision, and adherence to test protocols, is essential for participation.
If you are a primary-category student, then you need to register for the assessment test first. There, you have to write an essay (in English) on "why you want to become a member of RASA." You will be given 1 week for this registration. After that registration, you have to take a quiz. You must bring the admit card with you to participate in this quiz. Please note that you will receive your admit card via email once your registration is complete. In that case, if you want to get good results, you need to know the very basics of science.
If you are a junior-category student, then you need to register for the assessment test first. There, you have to write 2 essays in English. The first is “about yourself and your qualifications”, and the second is “why you want to be a member of RASA.” You will be given 1 week for this registration. After that registration, you have to take an oral test. You must bring the admit card with you to participate in this oral test. Please note that you will receive your admit card via email once your registration is complete. In that case, if you want to get good results, you need to know the very basics of science.
If you are a senior-category student, then you need to register for the assessment test first. There you have to write 3 essays in English. The first is “about yourself and your qualifications," the second is “why you want to be a member of RASA” and the third is “about an amazing science project.” You will be given 1 week for this registration. After that registration, you have to take a math test. You must bring the admit card with you to participate in this math test. Please note that you will receive your admit card via email once your registration is complete. In that case, if you want to get good results, you need to know the very basics of science and math.
Participation in the assessment test requires the completion of registration within the specified timeline.
