If you choose to rent a spinning wheel or any of the 3 multi- harness looms, a $50 deposit is required. You must be a member in good standing for at least 3 months. Make the check payable to “Weavers’ Guild of Buffalo”. Send to Equipment Manager, c/o Cathy McGreevy, P0 Box 7, Clarence Center, NY 14032.
The check will be cashed. Once the item is returned, the balance remaining of the deposit will be sent to you. This deposit helps to assure us that you will return the equipment. The Ashford Traditional Wheel may be rented for a period of 2 months. Upon its return—if no one is waiting to use it—you may rent it for an additional 2 months.
There are several changes in the equipment department. All the guild equipment is available to rent in our new library. There is a blue sign out notebook on the desk in the library. If you would like to sign out any equipment or if you have any questions, please contact
Should you have any problems with the equipment please let me know. We use the funds to maintain and upgrade our available equipment.
The Great Wheel has a home. It will remain there unless someone wants to use it for a demonstration.
We will no longer be accepting donations of equipment and weaving paraphernalia.
We can no longer help people sell their equipment, unless it's someone you know and you want to help them. Members can advertise their items for sale in the newsletter and the website (non-members pay a $5 fee).
