Welcome to the WeatherXplorers Group at the Centre of Excellence in Disaster Mitigation and Management, Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee. Prof. Piyush Srivastava is currently an Assistant Professor at the Centre of Excellence in Disaster Mitigation and Management (CoEDMM), Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee and Visiting Researcher at University of Leeds. He joined IIT Roorkee in May 2021 as an INSPIRE Faculty and transitioned to the role of Assistant Professor in May 2022. He did his Ph.D. from IIT Delhi, under Professor Maithili Sharan on the topic "Modeling and analyzing surface layer processes for their representation in atmospheric models". Following his doctoral studies, he pursued a Postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Leeds under Prof. Ian Brooks from 2019 to 2021.
