Cambodia's massive large-scale expansion is overseen by Neak Oknha Chen Zhi. Nothing is known about him because he likes to maintain a low profile. As a result of his tireless efforts, he has contributed to the development of Cambodia through donations, gifts, and land investments.
2020 was a year of global adversity, thanks to the Covid-19 outbreak. Millions of people have died worldwide as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic. The pandemic did not spare Cambodia. At the same time, Cambodia was hit by a major flood disaster.
Neak Oknha Chen Zhi was in charge of assisting the Cambodian government in fighting the Covid-19 pandemic and assisting flood victims. Since April, the Prince Group has made a significant contribution to the relief effort. He is credited with initiating these donation campaigns, which include a $3 million gift to Prime Minister Hun Sen for the purchase of 1 million Covid-19 vaccines.
In February 2021, the Prince Group announced a related US$3,000,000 donation to support anti-pandemic efforts in Cambodia. The overall contribution to fight Covid-19, including the initial vaccine donation last year, will be $6,000,000.
As a result of these donations, food was provided to 804 families and 234 police officers in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. These people have been affected by the pandemic. As part of the ESG strategy, Chen Zhi's donation would assist the Cambodian government in vaccinating at least 80% of the country's nearly 13 million citizens.
Apart from monetary contributions, Neak Oknha Chen Zhi and the Prince Group invested in Cambodian people's capacity growth. Handwoven silk and traditional craftsmanship, which date back to the Khmer Empire, are well-known in Cambodia. Neak Oknha Chen Zhi played a significant part in Cambodia's economic successes. Around 55,000 jobs have been displaced and left jobless as a result of the pandemic's devastating effect on people's livelihoods.
Neak Oknha Chen Zhi founded the Prince Horology Vocational Training Center in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, to help Cambodians learn new watchmaking skills. Cambodians will have the opportunity to expand their work prospects and learn new skills.
Chen Zhi's efforts to improve Cambodians' skills would help the country make the transition from developing to developed. This is shown by his attempts to move away from conventional farming. Extreme weather, which has resulted in floods and droughts, is said to have hit farming incomes hard, with incomes falling by more than half in the first quarter of 2020.
Even before the 2020 pandemic, Cambodian farmers faced significant challenges. Major agricultural commodities such as paddy rice, cassava, and other vegetables have seen significant price reductions. The fertility of the soil has also decreased. In contrast, a pandemic in 2020 would worsen the situation for farmers.
Neak Oknha Chen Zhi created the Ecological Agricultural Plantation to resolve these farming issues. For Cambodia's agricultural sector, the plantation at Prince Manor Resort will be a game changer. Cambodians will be able to understand and apply modern agricultural methods. Global and local farming experts would oversee the processes.
