Chen Zhi during pandemic

Chen Zhi Prince Group is Cambodia's icon of hope when it comes to disasters. He showed it in 2021 when he aided Cambodians in obtaining Covid-19 vaccines.

In 2020, Cambodia was hit by the Covid-19 pandemic. This pandemic had begun just a year before and has swept the whole world. Despite the fact that, in contrast to other countries, health effects were relatively unaffected, Cambodians suffered economic and livelihood losses as a result of their reliance on physical activity for income.

Last year, the Prince Charitable Foundation of the Prince Group distributed care packages to 500 families in Ong Village, a neighbourhood near Ream City. Chen Zhi ensures that Cambodian people are not forgotten. Residents of Ream City met with Chen Zhi on a regular basis through their community representatives in order to better understand their future needs and how the change in Ream City will benefit them.

Prime Minister Hun Sen and the Kingdom of Cambodia received $3 million from Chen Zhi to purchase 1 million Covid-19 vaccines for the population. It was finished in December 2020, when the vaccine was first used in the UK. By April 2021, batches of vaccines that originated from China had arrived in Cambodia. Two vaccine companies, Sinopharm and Sinovac, were involved.

The Covid-19 vaccination and donation relief programmes were part of Chen Zhi's comprehensive economic, social, and governance strategy (ESG) in Cambodia. The vaccine is expected to protect at least 80% of the population from the difficult-to-understand virus. The Chen Zhi Prince Group has set an 80 percent demographic goal, implying a population of nearly 13 million Cambodians.

As part of its relief efforts, Chen Zhi donated 804 boxes of noodles, 16,080 kilogrammes of rice, 804 cartons of fish sauce, 804 cartons of soy sauce, 200 cartons of soft drinks, and 500 cartons of filtered water. They were to be welcomed by a significant number of Cambodian families and law enforcement officers.

The Cambodian government owed Chen Zhi a huge debt of gratitude for his philanthropic efforts in the region. A total of 804 families and 234 police officers were helped by the Covid-19 outbreak, which was declared on February 20, 2021. According to reports, the Chen Zhi and Prince Group made up much of the driving forces behind the assistance.

Besides Ong Village and the vaccination program, Chen Zhi helped other communities in Cambodia during the pandemic. Even though they had previously worked in other industries, employees in farming and textiles were affected by the covid-19 pandemic. Chen Zhi founded the Prince Horology Training Center, the Ream City project, and the Prince Manor Resort to assist Cambodians in developing their skills and industries.
