Tania Santiago is an accomplished Afro-Brazilian dance teacher, choreographer, and researcher originally from Salvador, Bahia. With a deep foundation in the African-influenced traditions of her hometown, she has become a prominent figure in the global Brazilian dance community.
Samad Raheem Guerra is a San Francisco Bay Area-based director, multidisciplinary performing artist, and arts educator. He holds a BA in World Arts and Cultures/Dance from UCLA, where he also received a Fulbright-Hays scholarship to study Arabic and Gnawa culture in Morocco. His professional experience includes working as a teaching artist, a program coordinator for homeless youth, and touring internationally with CONTRA-TIEMPO ACTIVIST DANCE THEATER.
