Wei-Chang Yeh is an ASPEED Chair Professor and Chair Professor in the Department of Industrial Engineering and Engineering Management at National Tsing Hua University (NTHU), Taiwan. He received his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Industrial Engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington.
His research focuses on reliability engineering, network reliability, exact and approximate algorithms, optimization, artificial intelligence, predictive health management, and digital twins. He is the originator of Simplified Swarm Optimization (SSO) and the Binary-Addition-Tree (BAT) framework, which have been applied to reliability evaluation and a broad range of NP-hard optimization problems.
He has published more than 400 journal papers and holds 66 patents. He has been listed among the Stanford/Elsevier Top 2% Scientists for both career-long and single-year impact since 2020. His recent research extends reliability and optimization methodologies to advanced semiconductor manufacturing, heterogeneous integration, GPU-accelerated reliability computing, and physics-informed AI. He is also active in NVIDIA-supported research and education activities.
He serves as an Associate Editor of IEEE Transactions on Reliability.
