Seung Joon Lee received the B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from KAIST, Daejeon, Korea, in 1991, 1993, and 1998, respectively. He was with Hyundai Electronics (1998–1999) and with the Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute (ETRI), Daejeon (1999–2008), and was a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Alberta, Edmonton, Canada (2002–2003). Since 2008 he has been with the Department of Electronics Engineering, Kangwon National University, Chuncheon, Korea, where he is a professor. His research interests include reconfigurable intelligent surfaces, beamforming and MIMO, synchronization and channel estimation, and the FPGA implementation of physical-layer algorithms.
