Delhi, the busy capital of India, records higher temperatures every year during the Summer. 

As a highly urbanized megacity, the population density is as high as 18,150 people per square km. 

Due to Delhi's rapid urbanization and dense population, the urban heat island effect is particularly intense.

In 2023, the highest temperature reached 42.9℃ (109.2℉). Semi-urban areas like Basai and Jhajjar also faced heavy heat around 39℃ (102.2℉), but Delhi experienced an average temperature of 40-42℃.
