Giants Ridge/Camp Esquagama (Approximate) Itinerary for Dec 20-22, 2023
**Lunch items/Snacks Donation drop off with Jody Moore (mom chaperone) at South Cafeteria by 3:45pm on Wednesday (Dec 20, 2023). See early drop off options: https://www.PerfectPotluck.com/UMKO2522
Wednesday (Dec 20) @4 pm South Campus bus departure. Will stop at Hinckley on way up for dinner - you will pay for your own meal. There are several food locations nearby each other near the Subway, so will pull in there. We'll arrive at camp probably between 8 and 8:30 pm.
Thursday (Dec 21):
8 am breakfast at Camp Esquagama.
9 am - head to Ridge to do a long ski walk/jog with intermittent pickups up along the ski trails.
11:30 lunch - will likely head back to camp for lunch and some down time.
2 pm - skate hill bounding, balance, and strength session - at camp or at the Ridge, TBD
4 pm - 6 pm - skiing (yes!) at the base area between the Nordic center and the start area. Area is probably several hundred meters in length. We will skate ski on Thursday.
6 pm - back to camp
7 pm - dinner
following dinner - activities led by the captains
Friday (Dec 22):
8 am breakfast
9 am head to the Ridge to do a second long ski walk/jog with intermittent natural intervals along the ski trails
11:30 lunch - again likely back at camp followed by some down time and getting packed up
2 pm - classic focused bounding, balance, and strength/plyos session - at camp or the Ridge, TBD
4 - 5:30 pm - classic ski at the Ridge along the base and stadium areas.
5:30 back to camp, finish getting packed up
6 pm dinner
departure soon after dinner
10 - 11 pm - arrive at South
