2.      C4 h4, Ka4 h3, Ka5 h2, a4 h1=Q Stalemate

3.      C4 Ke2, Blacks idea is to take on C4, What happens here?

Here the pawn is in h4 instead of h5.  Black can win by moving Qd5.

1.      Nc6 Kc8 repeat

Puzzle: 4

White to move and save the game.

1.      Bf6 a2, C4 dxc3 Bxc3

2.      Bf6 a2, C4 Kc5, Kb7 Be7#

Puzzle: 5

Black made a blunder and played Kh7. Eric thought he is winning completely.

1.      Ne6 (forking rook and Queen) Qd2, Nxf8 Kh6, what is the next best move

a)      Qf4 or Qe3 are the only 2 moves he considered and played one of them.

b)      He should have played Re2 Qxe2 and there is a force mate for white.

Puzzle: 6

White to move after Kh6.  White actually resigns here.

1.      Black is simply winning.  Black is going to promote.

a.      If Qc2 Qf1+, Kh2 b1=Q

How White can save the game?

1.      Qb8 Qf1, Kh2 Black can’t promote since there is a mate threat.  Only perpetual is possible.
