Prayers To Know : 

Act of Contrition
O my God, I am heartily sorry for having offended You,
and I detest all my sins because I dread the loss of heaven and the pains of hell,
but most of all because they offend You, my God,
who are all good and deserving of all my love.
I firmly resolve, with the help of Your grace,
to confess my sins, to do penance, and to amend my life.

Our Father

Prayer to St. Michael the Archangel

Saint Michael the Archangel,
defend us in battle.

I Confess (Confiteor)

I confess to Almighty God,

therefore I ask Blessed Mary ever-Virgin,

Prayer for Faith

O my God, I firmly believe that You are one God in three Divine Persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. I believe that Your Divine Son became man and died for our sins, and that He will come to judge the living and the dead. I believe these and all the truths which the Holy Catholic Church teaches because You have revealed them, who can neither deceive nor be deceived. Amen.

Prayer for Hope

O my God, trusting in Your infinite mercy and promises, I hope to obtain pardon for my sins, the help of Your grace, and life everlasting, through the merits of Jesus Christ, my Lord and Redeemer. Amen.

Prayer for Charity (Love)

O my God, I love You above all things with my whole heart and soul because You are all good and worthy of all my love. I love my neighbor as myself for the love of You. I forgive all who have injured me and ask pardon of all whom I have injured. Amen.

How to Confess

1. Examine your conscience
   Think about the wrong things you did since your last confession — what you said, thought, or did that was wrong.
   
   

2. Be sorry for your sins
   Say you are truly sorry for what you did and want to do better.
   
   

3. Go to the priest
   When it’s your turn, go to the priest and start by saying:
   “Bless me, Father, for I have sinned. It has been [how long] since my last confession.”
   
   

4. Tell your sins
   Honestly tell the priest the sins you remember.
   
   

5. Listen to the priest
   He might give you advice or ask you to say a prayer (penance).
   
   

6. Say your act of contrition
   Say a prayer showing you are sorry for your sins (the Act of Contrition).
   
   

7. Receive absolution
   The priest will forgive your sins by saying the words of absolution.
   
   

8. Do your penance
   After confession, do the prayers or good deeds the priest asked you to do.
   
   

Tips: Wear a simple skirt or dress if girl shirt and pants if boy for your first confession [ recommended before first holy communion ]. And white dress and veil if girl and suit and pants if boy for first communion. Also make sure you are well prepared you should take first communion and confession classes to prepare .You can recieve on hand or tongue I recommend tongue for first communion.Don't be scared to say your sins Jesus is in the place of the priest and Jesus will not be angry or make fun of you he is there to comfort and forgive you !
