National Honor Society is an organization that recognizes outstanding high school students. NHS serves to recognize those students who have demonstrated -- and continue to demonstrate -- excellence in the areas of scholarship, service, leadership, and character.

Wayne Chapter of National Honor Society

Each spring the Wayne Chapter invites students of Waynesboro High School, Virginia to apply for membership. To receive an invitation students must

  • be a member of the sophomore or junior classes,

  • have a cumulative, weighted GPA of 3.5 or higher

  • have attended WHS for at least one semester
