Wumpus Cave

The game begins:

Based on rumors of riches within, you are now standing at what looks like a mountain cave entrance, only there is a wooden door over the entrance and a small mailbox.  Maybe an abandoned mine?  The home of a hobbit?

The mailbox oddly contains a bag of popcorn which you absentmindedly take in your hand while you read a bill posted on the door:"

• No Trespassing

• Beware of Wumpus

You can take it from this point and likely figure it out on your own, and personally I like to play new games by jumping right in.  When you ask yourself, what the heck is this control....  see if you can work it out.  However, the next page here explains controls and includes hints on the game as well.  

In the game, you can get similar information with the ?? button.   Each time you hit ?? you will get another bit of how the game works including hints on how the AI's (OK that's a serious overstatement) do their thing.
