Watrr (“we,” “us,” or “the app”) is a water-reminder alarm app for iPhone. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app handles and how it is used.
Watrr is designed to keep your data on your device. We do not operate a Watrr account system, and the app does not upload your videos, photos, or personal reminder data to our servers.
Watrr may store the following locally on your iPhone using Apple’s on-device storage (SwiftData):
Reminder settings you create (for example, time and repeat days)
A history of drink / skip outcomes (for example, timestamps and whether you completed verification or dismissed/skipped)
App preferences needed for normal operation
This information stays on your device unless you choose to back up your device through Apple services you control (such as iCloud Backup), which is governed by Apple’s policies.
Watrr requests access to the front camera only to help confirm that you are drinking water so an alarm can be dismissed through the app’s verification flow.
Camera frames are analyzed on your device in real time
Video and frames are not saved to your photo library or app storage
Video and frames are not uploaded to us or any third party
Only lightweight analysis results needed for verification (for example, pass/fail style outcomes) may be reflected in your local history
You can deny camera permission, but verification that depends on the camera will not work. Apple also provides a system way to stop an alarm.
Watrr uses Apple AlarmKit / system alarm features to schedule reminders you configure. Permission prompts and system behavior are controlled by iOS.
Watrr does not:
Sell your personal information
Use third-party advertising networks
Track you across other companies’ apps or websites
Send identifiable analytics about your drinking verification video to us
Aside from Apple’s operating system frameworks used to run the app (for example, camera, alarms, and on-device storage), Watrr does not integrate third-party analytics or social SDKs at this time.
Watrr is not directed at children under 13. Do not use the app if you are under 13.
Because data is stored on your device, you can remove it by deleting the app (and/or clearing app data according to iOS). Uninstalling Watrr deletes the app’s local data from that device.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
