Watrr helps you build a hydration habit with scheduled alarms. When an alarm fires, you can dismiss it the accountability way by briefly verifying a sip on camera — analyzed on your device, never saved or uploaded.
Open Watrr and allow Alarm and Camera permissions when asked.
Create a reminder for the time(s) you want.
When the alarm rings, use Drink to dismiss, follow the on-screen side-on recording tips, and take a short sip on camera.
Check History for Drank / Skipped outcomes.
Record side-on (profile view), not straight-on front facing.
Hold the phone yourself a little farther out (arm slightly extended) so face, hand, and bottle/cup are visible.
Make sure lighting is reasonable and your face isn’t fully covered.
Does Watrr save my video?
No. Analysis happens on-device in real time. Frames are not written to disk or uploaded.
What if verification fails?
Try again with a clearer side-on sip. You can also use the system alarm stop controls provided by iOS.
Why does Watrr need camera access?
Only to confirm drinking during the dismiss flow. It is not used for anything else.
Why does Watrr need alarm permission?
So reminders can alert you at the times you schedule, including when the phone is silenced or in Focus (subject to iOS behavior).
Can I use Watrr without the camera?
You can still create reminders, but the camera-based “drink to dismiss” verification won’t work without permission.
