Individualized Instruction

Each student is pulled in a small group setting or for an individual conference every day while at school in some area. All students are met either by myself or our awesome teacher assistant Mrs. Graf daily during EL Skills block/Enrichment. This gives us a chance to really hone in on the skills that are necessary for their small group to continue advancing as readers. It's a time we can re-teach and push students further. They are also all conferenced with one-on-one each week, either during reading or writing to discuss their personal goals and the strategies that are most beneficial for them to focus on. In math each day, small groups are pulled if students are struggling or need an extra push, and students are met with one-on-one while working through the math materials. Individualizing instruction helps me guarantee that your child will continue to grow, regardless of where they currently stand academically. Obviously, children all learn differently and come in with varying degrees of background knowledge, so having the opportunity to meet with them in smaller settings really helps them develop!
