Welcome to Waterperry Gardens Club!

Introduction

Waterperry Gardens Club is a voluntary organisation. We bring season ticket holders and Waterperry village card holders together to enjoy social and horticultural events such as coffee mornings, special events such as talks, garden visits and volunteering. We are very fortunate that Rob Jacobs, Horticultural Manager is normally able to clear his diary for our coffee morning talks and tours. Rob is adept at making us feel 'part of the team', and he also gives handy seasonal tips for gardening at home. Whether you are an experienced gardener or just starting out, there will something special for you!We aim to support projects within Waterperry Gardens; for example planting in woodland, in the arboretum and in other sites within the gardens. We also aim to promote horticultural education at Waterperry, e.g. for apprentices and training.If you have taken the step of buying an annual Waterperry ticket, why not join us for coffee mornings and other events? There is no membership fee.

All events are pay-as-you go. Some larger special events are booked in advance via TicketSource either online (see below at bottom of this page) or by telephoning 0333 6663366. Some events are open to guests.

Coffee morning

Tuesday, December 2nd

Our Christmas coffee morning started with coffee, mince pies and cookies and then Christine Walkden, gardener, author, TV and radio presenter, gave a talk about her life as a gardener with its thrills and spills. A fascinating talk full of humorous stories and advice for young gardeners. This was followed by a fantastic raffle with great prizes. A lovely morning to start the Christmas season.
