About Me

Resin calibra based on the Ninco version

I'm a slot car collector, tinkerer and scratch builder. I have been interested in all things slot cars since the 1980's when I got the motorbike and sidecar kit for Christmas, ah the smell of the motors warming up and the endless re slotting of the cars.

I live in the beautiful north east of England, I am a design manager for a global diesel engine manufacturer as my main career and a hobby slot car manufacturer in my spare time.

All of the parts I sell are designed and created for myself and my own cars and scratch build projects. For years I tried (and failed) to master resin casting for bodies and brass wire chassis. Coming from a design background and having access to CAD I started looking for a better (for me anyway) solution to manufacture chassis for my resin bodies. I started looking into 3D printing again in 2015 and to my surprise it had come a long way in a short time and would be the answer to my problems.

I bought a Prusa i3 kit in late 2015 and have managed to make everything inc wheels, bodies, pods, chassis, inserts, tyre masters, track barriers, carrera guide adaptors, Scaley guides and much much more.

I love designing and creating things even in miniature. I share all of my 3D files (when i remember to upload them) on Thingiverse for all fellow 3D printers to have and share.
