My academic background combines sport science, physical education, and sport management:

• MSc in Sport Management and Policy Development – Pan African University, Institute for Life and Earth Sciences (including Health and Agriculture), University of Ibadan, Nigeria.
  I graduated with a 5.0/5.0 CGPA and was recognized as the best graduating student. My master's research focused on organizational and management factors as determinants of effective sport service delivery.

• M.Ed. in Teaching Physical Education – Mekelle University, Ethiopia.
  Graduated with a 3.98/4.00 CGPA and Very Great Distinction.

• BSc in Sport Science – Jimma University, Ethiopia.
  Graduated with a 3.78/4.00 CGPA and Great Distinction.

My academic journey has given me an interdisciplinary perspective that connects teaching and learning, sport development, organizational management, research, and community impact.

I currently work at Bahir Dar University Sport Academy as a Lecturer and Researcher, where I teach courses related to sport science and sport management and participate in academic and research activities.

I also serve as a Youth Sport Development Program Coordinator, supporting the development and coordination of youth sport programs involving young athletes across sports such as football, athletics, handball, volleyball, basketball, and tennis.

My previous professional experience includes teaching physical education, university-level lecturing, coaching, sport program coordination, research, and academic event organization. These experiences have allowed me to work with learners and athletes at different stages of development and to understand the importance of purposeful, inclusive, and well-designed learning environments.

My interest in learning design has grown from my experience as an educator. I believe that effective learning is not simply about delivering information; it requires understanding learners, identifying their needs, designing appropriate learning experiences, and providing accessible ways for learners to engage with and demonstrate their learning.

As I continue to develop as a learning designer, I aim to combine my experience in education and sport with instructional-design principles to create learning experiences that are clear, accessible, inclusive, engaging, and purposeful.
