I am currently working as an ICT/Solutions Development Specialist at the International Organization for Migration (IOM-UN).Â
I earned my Master’s degree in Software Engineering from the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) in January 2019 and my Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Quaid-i-Azam University (QAU) in March 2011.
My career spans nearly two decades in software development, research, and technical support. With 13 years of extensive software development experience, served as a team lead, project manager, and product lead for leading multinational IT organizations, along with five years of public-sector technical support experience.
I am an IoT and cybersecurity enthusiast with more than four years of research experience. As a security researcher, I actively follow emerging trends in cyber resilience, network security, artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things (IoT), machine learning, and distributed systems. My work includes collaborations with national and international researchers, resulting in first-author publications in Q1 and Q2 journals and presentations at top IEEE conferences.
Alongside my professional work, I remain deeply committed to community service and volunteering. In 2023, launched Cyberwalk.pk, a platform dedicated to cybersecurity awareness and advancing the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Started teaching in 2009 and have served as a visiting faculty at leading universities since Fall 2020. Earlier in my journey, I volunteered in AJK after the 2005 earthquake, an experience that continues to inspire my dedication to community engagement.
