Marci Pizza moved out of its long-standing location at 126 Walnut Street, and was replaced with Towne Square Video.

Katy T's opened on Wilmor Road and remained there for thirty years.

Bob Summer was the 1993 recipient of the Washingtonian Award.

Richard Longbucco was hired as the new WCHS Superintendent to replace the retiring Lee Edwards.

Long-time WCHS band director Ken Hess and choral director Betty Zook retired.  They were replaced by Jim Tallman and Lara Reem respectively.

Illinois Valley Plastics, a long-time industrial business on Cummings Lane, first came to Washington. 

The enhanced 911 emergency system went online in Washington.
