Values:

1. Combining personal values with career goals

• Taking reflection time to discuss how our future careers and our passion for service can tie together to make an economically sensible career path
• Hearing from the leaders of non-profits about their paths to the positions they're in

2. Looking for ways to incorporate service within our own community

• Having conversations about the widespread injustices that reach beyond D.C. and how they affect our own community
• Brainstorming ways to serve back in Iowa City

3. Making effective change

• Taking time to write a letter to ourselves prior to service in order to see how we changed throughout the week
• Thinking through the business side of service and how to make service sustainable
