The Elementary Art Scope document is the curriculum for each grade level as set by the Boise School District. These are the art learning goals for the year and should be the basis for your projects. The Art Scope for each level can also be found on the individual subpage by grade.
The Elementary Art Scope document refers to the Elements of Art and Principles of Design. The posters below provide brief descriptions. Using these concepts as a springboard for your projects will provide a solid foundation for students in developing a better understanding of how to view and create artworks. It will also help students to build a vocabulary in which they can describe art and study it objectively.
