About Us

Washington County for Safe Water is a coalition of residents, scientists, business owners and concerned citizens working together to safeguard drinking water, public health, and the environment in our community. We are deeply concerned about the growing threat of toxic, radioactive oil and gas waste — often called brine — being injected underground in Marietta, Ohio and Washington County. 

Our mission is simple: to ensure every person in Washington County has access to clean, safe water — free from toxins.
