Map of Watershed

The Paint Creek Watershed is located in central Ohio and has an area of 249.036 square miles. In Figure 1, the watershed was determined using ArcPro and inputting the USGS gage station 03232000 which is the green “Watershed Outlet” point. As seen by the elevation scale, this is a relatively flat watershed. The pink “Paint Creek Sub Watershed” is the area that drains to the blue point adjacent to the wastewater treatment plant. From this map, you can see that Paint Creek has accumulation flow from a much larger area than just the WWTP. The conclusion can be drawn that the water quality of Paint Creek is not solely due to the WWTP discharge.

Figure 2 is a zoomed in satellite image of WWTP showing the current discharge location and proposed wetland discharge location.
