WOW! We couldn't be prouder to have two smart, talented, capable, and experienced candidates on the Democratic ticket. VP Harris really makes her opponent look old, feeble, and crazy. (Okay, he actually makes himself look that way, but she provides such a fabulous contrast!) And Governor Walz is clearly a champion for the American people. If you can, donate to their campaign HERE. We know the Harris-Walz team will continue the work of the Biden-Harris Administration: to make lives better for all Americans, to make our democracy stronger, and to preserve relationships with our democratic allies around the world.

Kudos to Dean Myerson who had the great idea to get some publicity for our endorsed congressional candidate, Dan Ruby, and our endorsed state house candidate, Nick Walden Poublon, and connect the dots for voters that Dan and Nick are aligned with Harris and Walz. And more kudos to Serena Smith for doing the graphics in just a few hours to get the ball rolling as quickly as possible. And even more kudos to Wasco County Democrats for their generous donations and purchase of signs, banner, buttons, etc. All of those funds are allowing us to support our endorsed candidates in significant ways. Watch for digital ads in CCC and CGN, too.
This week, we mailed more than 10,000 postcards to voters, written by Wasco County Democrats and Indivisible members of Protect Oregon's Progress. Many thanks to all of you who have been working on this for the past few weeks and months, and a very special thanks to Stacey Holeman who organized us all! Our postcards targeted the three important (and very close) congressional races in Oregon, as well as local voters in Wasco County in support of Nick Walden Poublon for state representative. Our efforts merited an article in the Columbia Gorge News!

About the Wasco County Democrats
MONTHLY MEETINGS - Our meetings are held every second Tuesday of the month, usually at 7:00 PM via Zoom, but sometimes if they are in-person, we gather a little earlier for some social time first. We do try to offer a Zoom option for any in-person meetings, too. If you're not already on our email list to get meeting reminders and other news, email us at WascoDemocrats@gmail.com and we'll sign you up.
OFFICE LOCATION - On the Corner of 2nd and Washington in The Dalles. We do our best to have volunteers in the office from 9-3 Monday to Saturday.
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES - We'll need lots of volunteers starting right now to help staff our office a couple hours per week, write postcards, put up yard signs, attend candidate events, canvass (knock doors) to get out the vote, and more.
