The Warsaw Municipal Pool reopened its doors in May of 2013. For several years, the original pool sat closed and empty before city officials created a plan for an all new facility, complete with a waterslide, diving board, and a new pool house. While the Warsaw area boasts plenty of opportunities for boating, tubing, and swimming in the lake, the community welcomed the new pool with open arms, as it offered one more place for families to make summer memories.
The pool is located at 1009 Jackson Street, which is the same address as the original pool that served the Warsaw community for more than 20 years. Conveniently located just minutes from the heart of downtown Warsaw, the pool is surrounded by Lay Park, Lumpe Baseball Field, the city boat ramp, tennis courts, picnic pavilions, and various walking trails, including the historic Joe Dice Swinging Bridge. This location offers plenty of fun for the whole family, especially those looking for a little bit of everything that Warsaw has to offer.
Coming into our eighth year of operation, the Warsaw Municipal Pool is still as eager as ever to provide community members and tourists alike with a clean and safe environment when they need a break from the lake. The facility is open seven days a week for daily swim, supervised by our Red Cross Certified lifeguards who maintain training all throughout the summer, ensuring that families can feel at ease when letting their little ones into the water.
The pool not only offers plenty of summer fun for the kids but hosts plenty of opportunities for adults of all ages to enjoy the facility as well. In addition to daily swim, the pool also offers weekly lap swims, water aerobics classes, and swimming lessons for all ages. If you are looking for extra time at the pool, the staff organizes multiple pool parties open to the public throughout the summer, as well as private pool rentals for birthday parties or other events. More information on pricing and hours can be found below.
While summer fun is a top priority, we are trained to assess risks and enforce rules that prevent accidents and injuries. While we are all trained to respond with lifesaving skills, such as CPR, AED and basic first aid, our team believes that prevention is key to keeping our doors open and water running all throughout the summer. Our rules can be found listed on the website, and everyone is encouraged to review them with their family before swimming.
The Warsaw Pool takes pride in our facility, team, and customers. Each and every lifeguard looks forward to opening day and seeing the community members that they’ve created relationships with during previous seasons, as well as meeting the new tourists that populate the area each summer. We can’t wait to kick off the summer with a splash!
