Let's Go Warriors - 400 Memberships is our Goal!
2026 - 2027 Walters Middle School WCC Board Members
This is my fourth year at Walters and I am excited to work with this amazing team and serve our school. I am a mom to three kids - my son is Walters alumni and is a freshman at Kennedy, my older daughter is a sixth grader here at Walters and my youngest is a fourth grader at Blacow.
For the past two years, I've served as Walters PTO President and before that as the Secretary. As a former middle school teacher myself, I know how important these years are for our students, families, and staff.
When we aren't at Kennedy, Walters, or Blacow, you can find my family at the baseball fields, serving at our church, forcing our kids on hikes, and trying to enjoy life as much as we can!
Sindhuja Selvaraj
Vice President
This is my second year on the WCC board. I am mom to an amazing duo in eighth and third grades. Our family loves exploring the National and State Parks systems, watching/ discussing movies together and occasionally calling each other names in Tamil.
As a first-generation immigrant parent, middle school has been quite a learning curve for my family. I have found myself challenged at times, and that made me appreciate WCC’s role in bringing the community together to work towards our common goals.
I am passionate about solving problems for the community, and my goal for this year is to make every family feel heard, and empower them using technology as needed.
Yuki Hayashi
Treasurer
I'm thrilled to be serving on the WCC board for my third year. This is my second year serving as your treasurer.
I have two amazing children – a 9th grader and a 7th grader. You might also know my husband, Coach Ryan, who leads our Walters girls' basketball team. Between my full-time work schedule and our busy family life, I'm always looking for every opportunity to dedicate my time and energy to the WCC's vital mission of enriching student and campus life. I truly believe that the more we, as parents, do for our kids, the brighter their future will be.
I look forward to working alongside all of you!
Shannon Liu Shair
Secretary
I have a 6th grader at Walters and a 5th grader at Mattos. During the day, I work as an Estate Planning attorney and the rest of the time, I enjoy spending time with my family (which includes three dogs), reading, and gardening.
Schools need supportive communities for the students/staff to thrive and I’m happy to do my share for Walters as Secretary for WCC. Let’s make it a great year for our special school!
