The Portage Warrior Archery Club is a dedicated team of student-athletes who strive for excellence both individually and together. We focus on developing skill, confidence, and sportsmanship through structured practices, local and regional tournaments, and strong team camaraderie. Whether new to the sport or aiming to compete at higher levels, our archers are supported by coaches and families who value hard work, growth, and fun.
They provide professional, eco-friendly forestry mulching services including brush clearing, invasive species and buckthorn removal, and trail clearing to help landowners enhance and maintain their property. As a special thank-you to our archery families, they are currently offering an Archer’s Special — 8 hours of forestry mulching, brush clearing, and invasive species removal for just $1,000.
They provides personalized financial planning and investment guidance tailored to help individuals, families, and business owners reach their long-term goals — from retirement and wealth strategies to savings and estate planning. Based in Portage, Klay Vehring and his team work one-on-one with clients to create customized strategies and offer trusted support through every step of the financial journey.
Last year, our archery team got creative for homecoming with a float themed "Go Greek or Go Home," building an Archery Olympic podium to match the spirit of the event. For the holiday parade, we joined in the "Classic Movies" theme by recreating scenes from A Christmas Story, bringing festive nostalgia with an archery twist. Throughout the year, we’ve also taken part in fundraising efforts like the brat stand to help support and grow our club. We're especially proud that both our high school and elementary teams qualified for nationals in Kentucky this year—way to go, archers!
Last year's homecoming theme was "Go Greek or Go Home". Since Archery is an Olympic sport, we created a winning podium. We had fun building and walking in the parade.
Last year's holiday float theme was classic movies. Our team decided to put together: The Christmas Story. We had the classic tree, leg lamp, desk, and presents. A cold but still fun parade!
We do various different fundraising efforts to help grow the archery club. It was such a beautiful day to work at the Brat Stand.
