San Diego-based food critic Warren Van Dam continues his series of blogs in which he talks about the best food and restaurants from his home town and even shares a recipe or two.

For today’s blog, Warren shares three more of the best restaurants in San Diego.

1. Cesarina

In Point Loma, there’s an elegant restaurant called Cesarina. With great food and service, the place has been a favorite of Warren Van Dam for years. From its numerous versions of pastificio to its various antipasti that include several specialty dishes and entrees, Cesarina is a must-try for tourists and foodies alike.

2. Tahona Bar

Another excellent establishment that can be found in Old Town, Tahona Bar has the distinction of being San Diego’s first mezcaleria. The Oaxacan and agave-based influences give patrons one of the best foodie experiences in the city. The menu items include tostadas, tacos, and burritos stuffed with slow-braised carnitas, grilled carne asada, fried shrimp, and Maitake mushroom and cauliflower with mole negro, almonds, pickled onions, and sesame.

3. Morning Glory

The third entry on Warren Van Dam’s list is certainly not the least. Morning Glory is located in Little Italy and is one of the most Instagram-worthy haunts in the entire city. Aside from the ambiance, the food preparation is second-to-none. Warren Van Dam suggests that readers search Morning Glory San Diego on Google to get a glimpse of their immaculate cuisine.
