Meet the chaperones who will be on tour with you:

Ms. Rachel VanPelt

Ms. VanPelt has been teaching Family & Consumer Sciences (FACS: Nutrition & Wellness; Interior Design) at JMHS since 2007. Her first trip with EF was in 2015 and she's been leading EF trips ever since. Ms. VP enjoys sharing her passion for travel and cuisine with other like-minded students and teachers. Ms. VP has traveled to 20+ countries (and counting) and 3 continents with EF, and she looks forward to traveling with you to new places and returning to some favorites.

In 2020, Ms. VanPelt was selected as a Global Education Ambassador (GEA) for EF Tours based on her experience and expertise as an EF group leader. As a GEA, she is a resource for new group leaders and helps train new leaders as they prepare for their first tour with their student travelers.

Ms. VanPelt's favorite thing about traveling is trying new foods to experience local culture. Some of the wildest things she's tried include cow stomach (Italy), guinea pig & alpaca (Peru), ants (Colombia), and whale & fermented shark (Iceland).

Ms. Tracey Page

Ms. Page (formerly Jolley) teaches Social Studies (EPF, AP Econ, AP World History) at JMHS. Her first time traveling with EF was in 1997 when she filled in for a group leader at the last minute... and she loved it! She's traveled with EF student groups many times since then. Ms. Page lived abroad in Germany for three years and has lots of international travel experience. Fun fact: Both of her sons have traveled with us more than once!

Mr. Dave Long

Mr. Long teaches FACS at South County HS. He has been traveling with EF since 2012, and he inspired Ms. VanPelt to also lead student tours. Mr. Long has taken students to many EF Global Summits- he's even had students (2018, 2022, and 2023) on winning teams at the summit challenge who have been featured in the Nobel Prize museum! Mr. Long also serves as Global Education Ambassador (GEA) for EF Tours because of his experience and expertise as an EF group leader.

Mrs. Johanna Berzinski

Mrs. Berzinski teaches Photography classes at JMHS. She has led her own EF tours in the past and has also traveled with Ms. VanPelt to Italy. Mrs. Berzinski is an avid traveler and has traveled all around the world with her family. Get ready to take the best Instagram pics with Mrs. Berzinski's photography hints and tips!

Ms. Mallory Bacalis

Ms. Bacalis is a counselor at JMHS. She enjoys traveling because the world is so big and filled with so many amazing places and people! She loves getting to experience and learn about all of the cultures, many that are different from my own. It is through these experiences we get to learn and grow as a person and share with others. She is excited about all the travels that will be in her future!
