The Star Chart is the interface used to access missions through the "Navigation" segment in the Orbiter. It shows the celestial bodies of the Solar System (also referred to as the Origin System). Each celestial body (also referred to as "planet") has its own set of resources and a backstory regarding the faction that is controlling the planet (accessed through Cephalon Fragments). Some planets may feature more than one faction at the same time.
Once completing the The Archwing Quest, the player will have the possibility to switch between the normal Star Chart and the Empyrean one, and even if they haven't built a Railjack they can join other teams to play this game mode starting from Earth Proxima. More advanced planets aren't unlocked through Junctions but require a certain Intrinsics level.
After clearing all nodes of the Star Chart (except the two Eris Assassination missions) and talking to Teshin, a toggle on the right of the map will allow the player to select The Steel Path, a harder version of the normal Star Chart with level 100+ enemies to gain unique rewards and obtain more Mastery Points by replaying all nodes. The Empyrean star chart is not included in unlocking this.
In order to access The Steel Path, players must have completed all nodes (excluding Mutalist Alad V and Jordas Golem Assassinates on Eris, Brutus on Uranus, and Duviri) on the connected Star Chart.
Note that this also entails completing quest-locked nodes, including the Ropalolyst node, all nodes on Lua, the Kuva Fortress, the Zariman Ten Zero and Albrecht's Laboratories. This will require the following quests to be completed:
All main quests up until Angels of the Zariman and Whispers in the Walls
Once the player meets these requirements, Teshin will invite the player to challenge The Steel Path; they must meet him on any Relay and ask him about "Steel Path?" to unlock the mode. From then on, The Steel Path will be permanently available even when new Star Chart nodes are added in future updates. Once players have The Steel Path unlocked, it will be displayed as a toggle on the right side of the Star Chart screen. The Steel Path also adds a 6th tier Landscape Bounty.
The Steel Path only affects normal missions, Dark Sectors, Junctions, Mission Locators, and Duviri. It does not apply to Nightmare Mode, Syndicates, or Invasions. The Empyrean Star Chart is also not included.
n order to access Arbitrations, players must have completed all nodes (excluding Mutalist Alad V and Jordas Golem Assassinates on Eris, Brutus on Uranus, and Duviri) on the connected Star Chart, including Dark Sectors, Lua, the Kuva Fortress, the Zariman Ten Zero, and Albrecht's Laboratories. Players can check on what nodes they need to complete by talking to the Arbitration representative in the Arbiters of Hexis' Relay enclave.
Note that this also entails completing the Ropalolyst node, which requires players to have completed the Chimera Prologue and all the story quests leading up to it. Completing the nodes on the Zariman Ten Zero and Albrecht's Laboratories will require the player to complete the Angels of the Zariman and Whispers in the Walls respectively, which requires completion of The New War, meaning players must have acquired both a Railjack and a Necramech.
Once players have Arbitrations unlocked, it will be displayed on the Operation window. From then on, Arbitrations will stay permanently unlocked even when new Star Chart nodes are added in future updates. There is only one Arbitration alert up at any given point on the Star Chart, changing nodes on an hourly basis. Arbitrations will only select nodes with endless missions (Alchemy, Defection, Defense, Disruption, Excavation, Infested Salvage, Interception, Mirror Defense, Survival/Conjunction Survival, Void Cascade, Void Flood, or Void Armageddon) and the enemy level range will start at 60-80.
