A whisper on the wind, a tingle through your paws, a scent that is familiar yet... you cannot place where you smelled it before. There is familiarity around you, in every bush, tree, flower. You feel part of this world in more ways than you can describe and you feel that if you tried to describe it, other felvargs may think you were loosing your marbles. Perhaps you fought with this feeling for many years, or accepted it readily. Either way, you cannot deny the pull that yanks at your heart, that urges you onwards towards an unknown location. Finally, you succumb, following this silent voice. The trees seemingly bend around you as you move through the forest, as if they were stepping out of your way, bowing to your lead. Onwards it leads you, to Fenrir's Incisor.
There was something up there that called your name and now that it was so much closer than before, it was impossible to ignore.
The Wardens of Yggdrasil is a heavily druidic inspired pack (fantasy as opposed to historical) with a special connection with Yggdrasil, the World Tree herself, which they refer to as 'The Great Mother'. Their connections to the elements around them, especially nature and the earth are strong. Because of this, these felvargs excel in herbology and alchemy and are often gifted with varying strength of 'nature' or 'earth' magics. They are often the 'peace keepers' of Ulfrheim, serving as a neutral body to quell disagreements but their main objective is the protection of the lands around them. When Yggdrasil calls, they answer. The pack generally will not interfere with the natural world around them, be it fire by lightning strikes or a severe storm that causes strong winds and flooding. If the Great Mother summoned it, it is not their place to engage. That's not to say they will not help any felvargs caught in harms way. When it is fel-caused, they were intervene, stopping fires and diverting rivers... and you can bet they will scold you for the damage caused.
Their connection with the world around them makes them quite spiritual beings and they often come together to celebrate the turning points of the seasons. Every summer (June 21st) and winter (December 21st) solstice as well as the spring (March 21st) and autumn (September 21st) equinox are times of great celebration. During these times great feasts and activities are held, as well as solemn times to honor the spirits of the ancestors.
Elowynn leads his druids justly, following the will of the Great Mother. He trusts that his peaceful rules are followed and respected and that when the calling comes, it is answered. Outside of that he demands very little from his pack. They are free to do as they please and while he considers the four yearly festivals important, he does not demand participation.
Should you choose to join the Wardens, Elowynn reminds you of these rules:
Nofel shall act in dishonest ways.
Nofel shall take the life of another.
Nofel shall interfere with the will of the Great Mother.
Promote peace, understanding, and acceptance to all.
Respect nature, and urge others to do the same.
