Waqar Wadho

I am an Associate Professor of Economics and the Director Graduate Studies at Lahore School of Economics and a Senior Research Fellow at Center for Research in Economics and Business (CREB).  I am also a:

• Research Fellow at the Center for Economic Research in Pakistan (CERP).

• Fellow at the Global Labor Organization (GLO).

Previously, I was a: 

• Research Associate at the CSASP, University of Oxford

• Member of the HEC sub-committee on Economics of the Committee for the Development of Social Sciences and Humanities in Pakistan (CDSSHP). 

• Member of the HEC National Curriculum Revision Committee. 

I hold a Ph.D. and MS in Economics from Aix-Marseille School of Economics (AMSE), France and an MSc. in Economics from Quaid I Azam University, (QAU), Pakistan.

My research interests lie in the broadly defined fields of growth and development. I use theoretical models and empirical methods to study issues related to firms, households, and economies. 

Research fields: Economics of Innovation, Political economy and institutions, Growth theory, and Economic and social inclusion.
