History

The group was first formed in 1974 as the Wiltshire Branch of the National Vintage Tractor and Engine Club, with the first meetings being held at Cadley Garage. The WAPG Vintage Rally held in early June comprises a wide range of exhibits, tractors, cars, motorcycles, stationary engines and commercial vehicles of all ages. Steam is represented by full size and miniature examples and a craft and model tent and catering for all tastes are provided.

The vintage road run and crank up is held in the spring, open to members and non-members takes route around the local area of around 20 miles with a lunchtime stop-off. The start is published on the web site and the public are encouraged to see the start of the parade of vintage tractors.
