Dr. Siyuan Wang is an associate professor in the Department of Atmospheric Sciences at the Rosenstiel School at the University of Miami. Prior to joining the U, he was a research scientist at CIRES working at NOAA/Chemical Sciences Laboratory. Before that, he worked at NCAR - first as an Advanced Study Program (ASP) postdoctoral fellow then as a project scientist. His research is supported by NSF, NOAA, and NASA. At the U, he teaches atmospheric chemistry and chemical transport modeling. He obtained his PhD from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.
PhD Student
Shuying Zhao joined the U in 2025 and is a PhD student working with Dr. Siyuan Wang. Shuying obtained her MSc from the University of Utah with Dr. Jessica Haskins. Shuying's current research focuses on (i) evaluating the TEMPO aerosol layer height product using observations, and (ii) improving the representation of aerosols in CESM.
Visiting Scientist
Dr. Peppurr specializes in advanced techniques such as keyboard‑stepping and box‑occupancy optimization. When not conducting cutting‑edge research pawjects, he enjoys a good belly rub, or a long nap on your arm or chest.
