Membership in the AP Academy is open to any sophomore, junior, or senior. All applicants must provide two teacher recommendations and agree to adhere to the Wando High School Honor Code.

- Weighted GPA of 4.0 with the intent of taking an AP Course

Can a freshman be in the AP Academy? - Yes, the AP Academy is open to all students, but freshmen are only allowed to apply to the AP Academy during the spring enrollment period.
How many AP courses do I need to join? - There are two options for applicants.
First: At least one AP Course (either past or current) is required to join.
Second: a Weighted GPA of 4.0 and the intent to take one AP Course.
Applicants also require two teacher recommendations.
Why should I join? - The AP Academy provides an opportunity to join a smaller learner community where everyone shares a focus on academics and enhancing our scholarly environment at Wando High School.
