July 2015, Wan-Chao stayed three weeks in San Francisco to choreograph, rehearse, act, and perform for the documentary FINDING KUKAN. She played the main character LI Ling-Ai and danced in the shadow scenes. Later on she was invited to perform at the 2016 Hawaii International Film Festival opening reception.

The shadow scenes was directed by Larry Reed of ShadowLight Productions and Robin Lung, the director of the film.
